The “Lonely Pastor” is Michael Battenfield, a husband, father, and passionate minister of the Gospel who currently serves as the pastor of a small, growing church in Northwest Arkansas. Michael holds a Master of Arts in Religion form the Baptist Missionary Association Theological Seminary, Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Central Arkansas.  Prior to his years pastoring in Clinton and North Little Rock, Arkansas, Michael was a public school band director for 14 years, most of that time in the rice country of eastern Arkansas.

Michael currently lives between XNA Regional Airport with his wife, two incredible daughters, two rescued dogs – a Saint Bernard & a mini Australian Shepherd, an off-track thoroughbred, and a cow named Ella.

Michael spends his time when not actively engaged in pastoral and preaching duties, volunteering at his daughters’ school, studying and debating theology, reading, hunting, fishing, and engaging in apologetic and polemic ministry.
